Suspected cocaine seized from Fort Frances apartment complex

A 30-year-old from Brampton is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.

FORT FRANCES — A 30-year-old from southern Ontario faces charges after a search warrant resulted in suspected cocaine being seized from a Fort Frances apartment complex.

Provincial police said OPP, along with assistance from the Treaty Three Police Service, executed the warrant at a Fifth Street East apartment complex on Monday evening.

Officers arrested one person and seized suspected cocaine, cash, and items associated with drug trafficking.

The accused, from Brampton, is charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused was expected to have a bail hearing on Tuesday.
