Suspect arrested after found breaking into Kenora building

The suspect is charged with breaking and entering a place to commit an indictable offence and possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose.

KENORA — A 47-year-old faces a breaking and entering charge after being found in a Ninth Avenue South building.

Provincial police said officers responded to a break-and-enter call in Kenora just before 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Officers, along with the canine unit and emergency response team, attended the scene and searched the building.

The suspect was found inside and was taken into custody.

Dean Jack is charged with breaking and entering a place to commit an indictable offence and possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing. 

The charges have yet to be tested in court.
