DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police took a Thunder Bay-area resident into custody Tuesday evening on charges of failing to comply with a release order from court.
Officers in Dryden observed a man wanted on an outstanding warrant, and attempted to approach him.
He fled to a nearby residence, but police obtained a warrant to enter the home where the suspected was located.
The 37-year-old from South Gillies was wanted for violating the terms of a release order stemming from drug trafficking and weapons-related charges laid in February 2024.
He's charged with three counts of failure to comply with the conditions of his release.
The charges have not been tested in court.
The man was held in custody pending a court appearance Wednesday.
It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
