SIOUX NARROWS-NESTOR FALLS – For some towns around the region, the municipal election is beginning, but, for others, the next four years are already decided.
In Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, there will not need to go to the ballot box in October to vote for their next council because the municipality had just enough certified candidates to acclaim their decision-makers for the next four years.
Current councillor Gale Black is taking the big chair from Mayor Norbert Dufresne in October. She has been acclaimed as the next Mayor of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls.
Matt Rydberg and Steve Salvador will remain as councillors. However, they will meet some new faces at their council meeting Doug Brothwell is acclaimed for Councillor of Ward One and Holly Chant will take the Councillor Ward Two position.
