A 55-year-old from Sioux Lookout is celebrating a lottery win.
OLG announced on Wednesday that Scott Dell won $100,000 in the Daily Grand Encore draw from June 20, 2022, by matching six of the last seven numbers.
In the news release, Dell said he has been a regular lottery player for more than 30 years.
“I was checking my tickets at the grocery store when I saw the big winner screen. I didn’t think it was right, so I checked it again and then pulled out my phone to triple check,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Dell said when he sent a screenshot of the win to his wife, she didn't know what it was at first.
“When I told her we won $100,000, she was so excited.”
Dell said he plans to celebrate his winnings by using them for his child’s education, making some investments, and planing a trip to celebrate.
“It feels amazing. I never dreamt I would win. I will keep playing in hopes it happens again — but if not, I know my money will go back to Ontario,” he concluded.
The winning ticket was bought at Fresh Market Foods on Queen Street in Sioux Lookout.
