Sioux Lookout pair facing drug-related charges

Methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin were seized after police investigate a suspicous vehicle.

SIOUX LOOKOUT -- A pair of Sioux Lookout residents are facing drug-trafficking and weapons charges following an investigation.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at a local recreational area on Monday, July 25 around 11 p.m. on Third Avenue North.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized suspected illegal substances including methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin, and prescription drugs valued at approximately $7,500, as well as Canadian currency, knives, and a loaded pellet gun. 

Police have arrested and charged Erin Gray, 20, with possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property and carrying a concealed weapon.

Vanessa BOUCHER-PANACHEESE, 21 years old, was also arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

  • Carrying a concealed weapon, contrary to CC Section 90 (x2), and
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, contrary to CC Section 88.

Both accused have been released on Undertakings and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout on Aug. 30, 2022 to answer to these charges.
