SIOUX LOOKOUT – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout has a vacancy on its governing council.
A post on the municipality’s website says Coun. Luc Beaulne tendered his resignation on Wednesday, citing personal reasons for the decision.
No further explanation was given for Beaulne’s decision.
How to fill the empty chair “will be decided in the July regular meeting of council,” Mayor Doug Lawrance told Newswatch.
“There are always three or four options to go through, so council will decide in the July meeting.”
The next council meeting is scheduled for July 16 at 5:30 p.m.
Beaulne was one of three new Sioux Lookout councillors elected on Oct. 24, 2022.
