KENORA—Couchiching First Nation announced it is hosting the second annual 2SLGBTQ+ Gathering and Pow Wow. This event is sponsored by Grand Council Treaty Treaty #3.
With Master of Ceremonies, Ron Mandamin, the event is scheduled to take place June 24, 2022. The event will feature Host Drum Yerxa Traditional, a dinner at 5 p.m., Grand Entries from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Couchiching First Nation Pageants at 8 p.m.
Their announcement highlighted that, “The Two-Spirit Anishinaabeg and allies of all genders are welcome to come and dance their style and show support to the Two-Spirit community in Treaty #3.”
