BALMERTOWN, Ont. -- A search warrant Friday afternoon has resulted in drug charges for a 36-year-old Red Lake resident.
Red Lake OPP, Community Street Crime Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant on Friday, April 29 around 3 p.m. on a residence on Sixth Street in Balmertown.
As a result of the investigation, Brenden Kobluk, 36, of Red Lake was charged with possession of a scheduled I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, operation while prohibited and two counts of failure to comply with release order.
The 36-year-old was held overnight for a bail hearing and was later released to appear in Red Lake court on May 19 at 9 to answer to the charges.
