DRYDEN – Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre will be parking their Screen for Life coach at the Dryden Memorial Arena from Aug. 5 until 18.

The Screen for Life coach is a mobile cancer screening service that offers convenient breast, cervical, and colon cancer screening for more than 75 different locations yearly.

The Screen for Life Coach offers digital mammography by their affiliated teams at the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP). The OBSP is Ontario’s breast cancer screening program for women between the ages of 50 and 74 years.

Sexually active people between the ages of 25 and 70 years can get their cervix examined for cancer which is performed by a registered nurse on the Screen for Life Coach.

As for those who need to get their colons screened for cancer, a take-home kit will be available for people ages 50 to 74 that have no family history of colon cancer.
