Sawed-off shotgun seized in Dryden

DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police have laid firearms charges against a Dryden man.

Officers responded Monday afternoon to a report of an incident at a local residence.

They then located and seized a sawed-off shotgun at a home on Duke Street.

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old man was arrested on charges of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody pending a court appearance on June 24.
