DRYDEN — OPP laid multiple charges against a resident of Dryden on the holiday weekend after he was allegedly found behind the wheel of a vehicle while his licence was suspended.
He was charged on Sunday evening during a police RIDE program.
When his vehicle was stopped, an officer identified him as a person whose licence had been suspended previously due to impaired driving.
Upon further investigation, OPP also found open liquor containers in the vehicle.
The 40-year-old was charged with driving while under suspension, driving with an unsealed liquor container in the vehicle, driving while liquor is readily available, possessing unmarked cigarettes, and driving with an obstructed licence plate.
His vehicle was also impounded for 45 days.
The charges have yet to be tested in court.
