Retirement wishes extended to Red Lake fire chief

Retiring Red Lake fire chief was loved and appreciated by the community throughout his career.

RED LAKE: The Township of Red Lake extended happy retirement wishes to Fire Chief Walter Scarrow.

The municipality wanted to acknowledge the many years of service that Scarrow, committed to his community. He was an active volunteer firefighter for many years, before being appointed  fire chief. The municipality shared that, “This appointment tasked him with the role of representing the municipality as the emergency management coordinator. In each situation that rose over the years, Walter managed this role gallantly and effectively."

The municipality expressed their appreciation for Scarrow’s dedication to ensuring the safety and over-all well being of his community. Red Lake residents offered their own personal statements of appreciation and congratulations to retiring fire chief Walter Scarrow, sharing how grateful they are for his dedication and loyalty to the community as he helped keep residents and the community safe.
