RED LAKE—The Municipality of Red Lake put out a notice informing residents that they will be completing sewer line flushing throughout the Municipality starting May 24, and continuing until Sunday, June 5, 2022. This will occur daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Their notice stated that, “This flushing is undertaken as regular maintenance to prevent the buildup of sediment which could result in blockages.”

They informed residents that as a result of this needed work, the equipment used to jet clean the sewer line uses “High Pressure Water”. Sewer line flushing may result, therefore, in some splashing from the toilet or sink.

Residents are asked to avoid any inconvenience, to place plugs in all sinks and close toilet seat cover during this time.

As an extra precaution residents may want to place a bag or plastic beneath the seat cover.
