RED LAKE - Over the past week, officers from the Red Lake/Ear Falls/Pikangikum Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 194 calls for service.
Police responded to a variety of calls and laid 53 charges under the Criminal Code, 1 under the Smoke Free Ontario Act and 2 under the Highway Traffic Act.
Some of the calls police attended were:
- 23 police assistance
- 19 Liquor Licence Act
- 16 unwanted persons
- 14 assaults
- 8 domestic disputes
- 6 mental health
- 5 impaired driving
- 4 bail violations
- 4 thefts
- 2 sudden deaths
- 2 noise complaints
- 2 mischiefs
