RED LAKE -- After a game six semi-final victory on Sunday against the Dryden Ice Dogs, the Red Lake Miners will meet the Kam River Fighting Walleye in the finals on Thursday, April 2. The first game will be held at Kam River Norwest Area in Oliver-Paipoonge.
On April 11, The Kam River Fighting Walleye earned their spot in a four-game sweep against the Thunder Bay North Stars.
All winter, both clubs are regular staples in the CJHL National Rankings, with Kam River finishing the season ranked #7 in the country and Red Lake only one spot behind at #8.

The winner will earn the right to compete as the SIJHL Playoff Champion in the Tim Horton’s Centennial Cup National Junior A Hockey Championship, set to get underway in Estevan, Saskatchewan, on Thursday, May 19.
