FORT FRANCES -- A Tuesday afternoon incident is under investigation in Fort Frances.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, Rainy River officers responded to a possible assault on Tuesday, July 26 at 12:26 p.m. at Point Park.
An area of the park was cordoned off while officers with the assistance of the Northwest Emergency Response Team attended the location to assist with the investigation.
Police are continuing their investigation.
Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.
