RAINY RIVER FIRST NATIONS – Rainy River First Nations released an emergency update Sunday morning regarding the community’s water treatment plant.

The community said water levels for the plant are reaching critical levels and it is unavoidable that the plant will hit lock out some time today.

All residents on the community distribution system are asked to limit their water consumption to only essential purposes.

This comes just over a week after the community's water had to be shut down due to a watermain break that had caused water levels to drop below operational limits.

Further updates will be provided on the community’s website and Facebook page.
