Rainfall warning in effect for parts of the region

Rainfall warning is in effect Friday morning through the afternoon.

NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO -- Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for parts of the region on Friday.

The government weather agency says periods of rain will continue. Temperatures are expected to drop into the low single digits on Friday. As a result, the rain may become mixed with wet snow at times.

However, most of the snow should melt on contact and no snowfall accumulations are anticipated.

Additional rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 millimetres are possible.

  • Ignace - English River
  • Kenora - Grassy Narrows - Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls - Morson
  • Ear Falls - Perrault Falls - Western Lac Seul
  • Red Lake - Woodland Caribou Park
  • Savant Lake - Sturgeon Lake
  • Sioux Lookout - Eastern Lac Seul
