SANDY LAKE FIRST NATION - Postal services have resumed in Sandy Lake First Nation's Northern Store.

Canada Post said wildfires and an evacuation order for the community had affected postal services since June 9.

A red delivery service alert was in effect, meaning the post office was closed and incoming mail was securely held off-site.

The service has now resumed that the evacuation order has been lifted.

There is still a red service alert in effect for Deer Lake First Nation.

Customers with questions regarding mail delivery can contact Canada Post’s customer service team online or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301.
