KENORA — Police are looking for public assistance in identifying the suspect in an armed robbery that took place at the Canadian Tire gas station in Kenora one year ago.
The incident took place on the evening of Jan. 4, 2024. The suspect had already fled when police arrived on the scene just after 9:30 p.m. according to a news release issued Friday.
OPP released still images taken from surveillance video of the suspect. According to police, the footage shows a man wearing a black hoodie, a white face mask, black shoes, and camouflage gloves entering the store armed with a firearm and stealing cash from the register.
The investigation is ongoing and police ask that anyone with information about the incident contact the OPP non-emergency line or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
