Police arrest man attempting to enter vehicles

Sioux Lookout OPP took a 35-year-old man into custody in the Oct. 28 incident.

SIOUX LOOKOUT -- A car-hopping suspect has been taken into custody after police in Sioux Lookout observed a man allegedly trespassing and breaking into vehicles. 

Police, in a release issued early Wednesday morning, said the incident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on Oct. 28. 

According to OPP, the accused was seen with a flashlight, acting suspiciously in the area of Second Avenue North. 

Police arrested the man and found him to allegedly be in possession of multiple items not belonging to him. 

A 35-year-old Sioux Lookout man has been charged with trespassing at night. 

The accused was held for bail and has been remanded to the Kenora District Jail.
