Opportunity to gain insight into nuclear safety offered to local residents

Ignace residents and members of the public in the region wishing to learn more about nuclear safety can do so by attending an information night organized by the Nuclear Liaison Committee.

IGNACE—The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, is hosting an information night, June 14, 2022 at the Ignace Community Nuclear Liaison Committee Office

The session is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. that evening, and is for anyone who wants to learn about nuclear safety.

Discussions and presentations will centre around the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission role as the intendant nuclear regulator, regulations of DGRs including environmental requirements and their commitment to Indigenous Nations.

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission regulates the use of nuclear energy and materials to protect health, safety, security and the environment.
