OPP requesting public assistance

Rainy River OPP is asking for public assistance in solving a case of vandalism at the Atikokan Museum.

ATIKOKAN – According to OPP Northwest Region, on May 13 the OPP received reports of mischief at the Atikokan Museum.

Police were advised by museum staff that a rail car had been vandalized sometime over the winter.

The windows of the caboose had been smashed and the interior was damaged.

Police are asking for assistance.

If the public has any information regarding how the rail car was vandalized and by who, call the Rainy River District (Atikokan) OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca.
