OPP make arrest after bomb threat to Fort Frances High School

A 19-year-old from Fort Frances was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and mischief that obstructs, interrupts, or interferes with the lawful use, operation or enjoyment of property.

FORT FRANCES –  A 19-year-old has been arrested after a threat was made against Fort Frances High School on Jan. 10, Rainy River OPP said.

On Jan. 11 shortly before 2:00 p.m., OPP officers, along with the Fort Frances Crime Unit and the Fort Frances and Kenora Community Street Crime Unit, arrested a 19-year-old suspect.

As a result, the 19-year-old from Fort Frances was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and mischief that obstructs, interrupts, or interferes with the lawful use, operation or enjoyment of property.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on Jan. 12.
