RED LAKE – According to OPP Northwest Region, on the evening of June 25 officers with the Red Lake OPP Detachment were dispatched to an incident at a residence involving an assault.
As a result, a 33-year-old from Red Lake has been arrested and charged with two counts of spousal assault.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
The OPP will not release the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victim.
There were no serious injuries reported to police as a result.
