OPP lays drug charges in Sioux Lookout

Three from Thunder Bay were charged for trafficking drugs in Sioux Lookout.

SIOUX LOOKOUT – According to the OPP, officers with the Sioux Lookout detachment arrested and charged three people for drug trafficking offences in the Sioux Lookout on July 8. 

Officers on general patrol conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72.

Through investigation, they found that the driver was suspended, the vehicle was not insured, and the driver and occupants had drug paraphernalia and illicit substances.

As a result, a 61-year-old driver from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking, operating a vehicle without insurance, and producing false insurance.

Additionally, the 32-year-old, and 22-year-old passengers from Thunder Bay were each charged with two counts of trafficking.

All accused remain in police custody and will appear in bail court on July 9.
