OPP lay charges for unmarked cigarettes

During the investigation, OPP say they found a large case of unmarked cigarettes in the rear of the vehicle.

IGNACE – After observing a vehicle with one functioning headlight travelling along Highway 17 on the evening of Jan. 6, officers initiated a traffic stop.

During the investigation, OPP said they found a large case of unmarked cigarettes in the rear of the vehicle.

As a result, the OPP arrested and charged a 22-year-old male from Ajax, Ont. with possession of unmarked cigarettes, possession of unmarked cigarettes for sale, and driving without proper headlights.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court on March 19.

The accused's vehicle was also impounded for seven days.
