OPP is asking for help after two structural fires in Atikokan

The Rainy River OPP is asking the community for assistance after two structural fires were discovered on the same property.

ATIKOKAN – Shortly after 3 a.m. this morning, the Atikokan Volunteer Fire Department and the OPP were dispatched to a residence on Riverland Farms Road in the Highland Park area where they discovered a garage and trailer on fire.

Fire Chief Graham Warburton said 10 personnel were on scene and the fire was extinguished shortly after 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported, according to the OPP.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
