Provincial police had closed a section of Highway 658 as they deal with what they call a "serious and ongoing investigation."
In a Tuesday update, police said officers responded to a residence off the highway after a confrontation that involved a weapon.
The situation has been resolved, police said, and one person was taken into custody.
The highway had been closed at Ena Lake Road, with travel restricted in the area, but the roadway has since been reopened.
Police had asked people to stay away from the area.
