ATIKOKAN — Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a series of break-ins into seasonal residences in the Flanders Road area west of Atikokan.
Police received three reports on the weekend of incidents at Warner Lake, south of Highway 11.
In all cases, the perpetrators entered unoccupied camps and removed consumable items.
OPP are asking any members of the public who may have information that could assist them in their investigation to call 1-888-310-1122, or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.tipshelp.com.
Police recommend that residents ensure their properties are checked on a regular basis, and that any valuables be kept secured and out of sight.
Last month, Thunder Bay OPP were called to investigate a number of camp break-ins in the Dog Lake area.
