OPP investigate tractor-trailer collision near Vermilion Bay

The driver of a transport truck that struck a rock cut suffered minor injuries

VERMILION BAY — Provincial police say one person was injured in a single-vehicle collision Sunday on Highway 17 near Vermilion Bay.

The collision involved a tractor-trailer that left the roadway and struck a rock cut, causing the trailer to break open and spill its load.

OPP said the truck driver sustained minor injuries and was attended to by paramedics.

As of Monday afternoon, no charges had been laid.

The collision forced a temporary closure of the highway.
