Two dead after crash east of Dryden

DRYDEN — A highway crash near Dryden has claimed two lives.

Provincial police said the three-vehicle crash happened on Highway 17 east of the city just before 11 a.m. Friday.

Four occupants of one of the vehicles were taken to hospital, with two pronounced dead.

A section of the highway was closed for several hours on Friday, but fully reopened Saturday morning.

The OPP's North West region traffic incident management team is involved in the ongoing investigation.
