OPP investigate assault in Ear Falls

EAR FALLS -- Two Ear Falls residents are facing assault causing bodily harm charges following an incident on March 5.

According to a Red Lake and Ear Falls Ontario Provincial Police release, officers began an investigation that occurred on March 5 at about 12 a.m. within the Township of Ear Falls.

Police say an adult and a youth had entered a dwelling and began assaulting multiple individuals resulting in minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Corey MARINO, 45, of Ear Falls, was charged with assault.

He was released by way of undertaking for Red Lake court on April 21. to answer to the charges.

Furthermore, a 17-year-old young person of Ear Falls, who cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), is charged with assault causing bodily harm and two counts of failure to comply.

The youth accused was held in-custody for a bail hearing and subsequently released by way of release order for Red Lake court on April 21 to answer to the charges.
