OPP charge two Manitoba residents with possession of cannabis for selling

DRYDEN — OPP Northwest Region reports that two Manitoba residents have been charged with possessing cannabis for distribution.

In the afternoon on July 27, officers with the Dryden OPP initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17 by Bedworth Road after observing a vehicle driving erratically.

During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and found a quantity of suspected dried cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, a 30-year-old from Vassar, Man., has been charged with possessing cannabis for selling, distributing 30 grams of dried cannabis, distributing cannabis plants, driving with cannabis readily available, passing roadway not clear of traffic, driving left of the centre crest of grade, driving with no licence, and driving with liquor readily available.

Additionally, a 36-year-old from Vassar, Man., was charged with possessing cannabis for selling, distributing 30 grams of dried cannabis, and distributing cannabis plants.

The accused individuals have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the court in September.
