OPP charge driver with impaired, having unmarked cigarettes

Dryden OPP charged one individual with impaired driving and possession of unmarked cigarettes.

MACHIN – According to OPP Northwest Region, officers with the Dryden OPP Detachment performed a traffick stop in the Municipality of Machin on the evening of July 25.

Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Dryden OPP Detachment, arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation and possession of unmarked cigarettes.  

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the detachment.

As a result, a 47-year-old from Vermilion Bay was charged with impaired driving and possessing unmarked cigarettes.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in Sept.
