OPP charge a driver with impaired

A traffic complaint results in a driver being arrested and charged with impaired.

EAR FALLS – OPP Northwest Region is reporting a driver in Ear Falls has been arrested and charged after a traffic complaint was called into dispatch.

On the morning of June 8, officers with the Red Lake OPP detachment responded to a traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver at a local business in Ear Falls.

During the investigation, officers determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

As a result, a 54-year-old from Ear Falls has been arrested and charged with impaired driving and being a novice driver.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on July 18.
