OPP arrest one, seeking second suspect in Dryden murder

Tyler Mitchell is in custody facing second-degree murder charges and police are searching for Wayne Gainer Kejick, 39, who is also wanted in connection with the murder of Kenora's David Sinclair.

DRYDEN -- Police in Dryden have arrested one man, but are seeking a second, following the homicide of a 28-year-old Kenora man in Dryden, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say Tyler Mitchell, 22, of Winnipeg is facing charges of second-degree murder in the death of 28-year David Sinclair, who was involved in an alleged assault at a Whyte Avenue residence.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to next apear in court in Dryden on Aug. 8.

Police are also looking for a 39-year-old suspect who is also wanted for second-degree murder.

Wayne Gainer Kejick, of Kenora, is described as 5-foot-10 and weighing 207 pounds. He's Indigenous with brown eyes and a recently shaved head. Police caution the public not to approach Kejick, who is also known as 'G'.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Sunday in Toronto.

Police say the killing does not appear to be a random incident.
