OPP apprehends suspected drug trafficker

DRYDEN – After conducting a traffic stop on Government Street on Feb. 28, officers seized several suspected illicit substances including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, hydromorphone, and oxycodone, according to OPP.

Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking were also found at the scene.  

As a result, a 32-year-old from Sioux Lookout has been arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.
