FORT FRANCES – One person was taken to hospital following an evening assault in Fort Frances.
According to a Rainy River Ontario Provincial Police release, officers were contacted on Wednesday around 8:15 p.m. regarding an assault that had taken place.
Police say the victim suffered severe injuries and was transported to hospital for assessment.
As a result of the investigation, Charles Saunders, 54, of Fort Frances has been charged with aggravated assault and uttering threats.
He is to appear in a bail hearing on March 4.in Fort Frances Provincial Court.
