DRYDEN — One person has been charged in connection to spousal abuse.
OPP in Dryden attended a call on Sept. 8 around 1 a.m. at a home in the city.
A 27-year-old resident has been charged with spousal assault, including causing bodily harm - choking, suffocating, or strangling.
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim.
In the OPPs release, they state that individuals experiencing intimate partner violence are not alone.
Adding that if anyone requires assistance, there are local resources ready to provide support.
