KENORA, Ont. — There's increasing concern about the rising incidence of COVID-19 within the service area of the Northwestern Health Unit.
NWHU on Monday reported 46 new cases since Friday, bringing the active case count throughout the health unit's jurisdiction to 117.
More than two dozen of the new cases are in the Kenora health hub, where the active case count stands at 55.
In the Fort Frances health hub, six new positive COVID-19 test results bring the active case count there to 27.
As of Monday, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported a caseload of 63 within its entire service area.
Ontario reported 3.784 new cases on Monday.
