Northern Ontario resident faces drug trafficking charges

Kenora OPP has arrested and charged one individual with drug trafficking.

KENORA – According to OPP Northwest Region, on the afternoon of May 23 officers with the Kenora OPP detachment were on general patrol near Ninth Street North when they observed an individual known to have outstanding warrants.

During their investigation, the officers found methamphetamine and fentanyl in the individual's possession.

As a result, a 48-year-old from Kenora has been arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking.

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
