NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO – Some municipalities are extending the nominations for school board trustee positions due to the lack of candidates.
In Kenora, only two individuals have been nominated for the English School Board Trustee for the Keewatin Patricia District School Board, David Cornish and Robert Kitowski.
With one more position left to be filled, Kenora is extending the nominations period to see if anyone else is willing to take on the role.
Atikokan has zero individuals looking to fill the role of Rainy River District School Board Trustee.
For those who are interested, you may file for this underfilled office between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24 with your municipal clerk.
