No charges in fatal crash that left three dead west of Ignace

Collision, between two commercial motor vehicles, took place at about 3:30 a.m. last Thursday.

IGNACE — Police said no charges have been laid following a fatal crash west of Ignace last week, as both drivers were killed in the collision.

The collision left three people dead. The third person was a passenger. A fourth person did not sustain serious injury, according to police.

Dryden OPP, in a release issued on Monday, said the crash occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, and involved two commercial motor vehicles.

The incident took place just west of Ignace shutting down the highway for about 11 hours while police conducted their investigation. 

Police have not released the identities of any of the victims but said all three are from Brampton.
