SIOUX LOOKOUT -- The Municipality of Sioux Lookout advises their resident that critical network failure disrupts telephone, email, and other communication systems within the Municipal Office and all Municipal Departments.
The following services are affected:
- Airport – the Terminal building, flights and related services are operating as usual, but if you are inquiring about administrative matters, please await further updates.
- Fire Hall – 911 emergency response services are active and standing by. However, for non-emergencies relating to Fire Services, disruptions are occurring.
- Municipal Office – closed to the public until further notice. They are unable to receive phone calls or emails at this time; therefore, residents cannot accept bill payments at this time. All Departments within the Municipal Office is closed (Finance, Administration, Corporate Services/Clerk, Development Services).
- Public Works – regular work is ongoing; for emergencies, such as water main break or no water, please call 738-1850. For all other Public Works questions or complaints, residents will encounter disruptions.
- Recreation Centre – Membership use of recreational facilities is available on a limited basis. Telephone and email are not in service. For all other services, please await further updates.
