Multiple charges laid after traffic stop

A routine traffic stop by Rainy River OPP has led to an arrest with multiple charges being laid.

FORT FRANCES – According to the OPP, on the evening of March 17, officers pulled over a vehicle on Highway 11 near Lake Road.

OPP said the driver was identified as a driver under suspension.

As a result, a 52-year-old from Fort Frances has been arrested and charged with driving under suspension, driving with cannabis, improper number plate light, and failure to surrender an insurance card.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on May 17.
