Moose on the loose causes an accident

Dryden OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17.

DRYDEN – According to Dryden OPP, in the early morning of March 8 officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 17.

OPP Northwest Region stated the driver swerved to avoid a collision with a moose.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the road and into the bush.

Thankfully the driver walked away uninjured.

OPP warns drivers to stay alert while driving. Animals may be on or near the road when travelling at dusk or dawn when the lighting is poor and the sun may be in your eyes.
