A 20-year-old has been charged with murder in the death of a man in Eabametoong First Nation.
Provincial police said its officers went to the community on Tuesday to assist the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service after an individual had been pronounced dead.
Police said the victim has been identified as 48-year-old Brian Sagutch.
A suspect, 20-year-old Ethan Waboose, has been arrested. He has been charged with second degree murder and is scheduled to appear in a Thunder Bay court next week.
The investigation is being conducted by the OPP and Nishnawbe Aski police, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted in Toronto at a later date.
