FORT FRANCES — A 44-year-old man faces multiple charges after a search warrant was executed in Couchiching First Nation.
Provincial police on Thursday announced the arrest, which came after OPP and Treaty Three Police Service officers executed the warrant at a residence on Wednesday.
OPP Const. Guy Beaudry said the accused was found in possession of a sharp-edged weapon.
The accused is charged with resisting a peace officer, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and failure to comply with a release order.
The accused has been remanded into custody is expected to appear in a Fort Frances court on Friday.
